Stepmom on a Mission

Years ago when I was first introduced to the stepmom role, I had no idea what challenges were going to lie ahead. I knew the stepmom role had a stigma attached to it, but I was determined to break the mold. Then I was in brand new territory feeling frustrated and confused. I needed to figure things out…

I started to educate myself by reading, researching, getting coaching and counseling. I have come a long way in the past couple of years in learning about stepfamily dynamics and improving our marriage and family.

I have recently made the decision to help other stepmoms. Actually no, the decision was made for me. I always knew my mission in life was to help others. In my career I help children and now in my personal life, I can help educate, support, and empower fellow stepmoms.

Steve Jobs once said, “If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.” I am being pulled.

  1. I absolutely love your posts. Thank you for all you do. I feel like you’re hitting the nail on the head in ways that other “stepmom coaches” don’t seem to do. You’ll be amazing! I too am starting on the journey of a new business “helping to empower women through the stages of loving a man w/kids”. I’ve been studying lots of stepmom groups and I’m hoping to help women before they get married (if at all possible). I was wondering if you’ve found the stepmom certification really helpful/necessary? I’m sure you’re super busy, but I’d love to chat one day if you have some free time. I can’t seem to figure out how to contact you via your site 😉 Have a beautiful day sister — I’m so excited for your next steps — you’re gonna be awesome! -Maiko (maiko@sutralifestyles.com)

    1. Thanks for all the positivity! I can tell your energy is strong and you’ll do great empowering women. I am open to chat anytime. My email is stepmomwarrior@gmail.com. The stepmom certification has been really helpful so far. I don’t think it’s necessary, but for me it’s been truly educational. I’m taking it through Jenna Korf and I recommend anything with Jenna! She’s my stepmom guru. Email me and we can chat more. It sounds like you have greatness on the horizon. Shine on sister.
